Match proposal vs S-UK

Postby [S-UK] Tonester » 01 Dec 2009, 19:59

Hi all

Well, it has been a long time since our last match and we did say we would have another one, so here is our proposal. These details are obviously open to discussion in case we need to make changes to suit both teams.

Maps: 4 + 1 stock map for the event of a tie (2 maps to be chosen soon so players can practice)
Map times: 15 mins each
Friendly Fire: Off
RPG: On
Server: Ours
Gravity: Standard 600 unless a particular map requires something different
Teams: 3v3 or 4v4 (your choice)
Date: Thursday 17th December 2009
Time: 8pm (GMT)

Please let us know asap so we can begin organising and practicing.

Cheers

Hi, dude :)

Yeah, it's been some time since we last had a match, so it's about time we had one again.

For the time being, there aren't many active players, but I am hoping I can at least get four people for a 4vs4, however if I can't, a 3vs3 will also do.

I have a few maps in mind, but I will have to discuss that with those who want to join in the clan match.

1 stock map if a tie is completely ok with me.

We would very much have RPG off, seeing that there aren't many that really like that weapon, but if you guys are dead set on having it on, we can of course try that for once too :)

The date seems fine seeing it's a bit in the future which leaves me time to find a team.

I'll ask around and get back to once I know more.

Excellent. Hope you can get some peeps together. Not fussed about 3v3 or 4v4. Just let us know what you can manage and I will do the same. RPG off is okay too. I only put that as on as an option. Hopefully hear back with some more details soon.

Quick update:

My guys have reminded me that it should have been Friendly Fire On. I got abused when they read it was off, lol.

Do you have an idea what maps you would use so we can get them on our server asap for practice?

Cheers

We tried Friendly Fire On last time and that didn't go very well to say the least  This time we would like to have it off, as usual, i.e. if you hit a teammate no damage is done to them.

I have at least three players who will be playing, but I haven't been able to get a fourth one, but SuperHebbe said he could play if need be, so that means we have 4 players. If everything goes well, we can do a 4vs4. I'm confident that we can at least do a 3vs3, so we can aim for a 4vs4, but we MIGHT have to go for a 3vs3 instead. Time will tell.

Our maps will be:

dm_vulture_final
dm_lostvillage

Both with stock gravity (600).

What are your two maps?

We are okay with Friendly Fire off as well. After our last couple of nights practicing for another match, I think it would be best, lol.

Our maps will be:

dm_forgotten_sanctuary
dm_roman_sanctuary

both 600 grav

The stock map in the event of a tie; Lockdown? You okay with this?

If you can only get 3 players that will still be fine. It is only a friendly so we aren't too fussy but if you can get 4, even better.

If you need the maps, they are available from our website or contact me and I can send them to you.

Cheers

Haha, yeah.. it sounds like a good plan having it off this time.

Both maps are good maps, except I'm not a big fan of the first map, but both of which are very fun to play in a clan fight. I had a blast last time at least

dm_lockdown as the stock map if a tie is perfectly acceptable :)

Things are looking brighter as to getting four players, but I can't really make any promises as of yet. I know hebbe can play if we lack someone, and I'm asking around and waiting on a couple of people to decide so yeah.. I'll give you and update once I know more, hopefully Monday or Tuesday.

Ok, a little update since last time.

I have scraped a team together and this is the guys I have so far:

[SuN] BT
[SuN] watt
[SuN] DOMiNiON

I'm trying my best at getting 4 players. I know SuperHebbe said he was willing to play, but only if he absolutely had to. I'm also going to ask a couple of others to see if I can get another player too.

Who's going to be playing on your team?

Thanks for the team update. I won't have a definite team list yet. It depends on a lot of factors. One of them being of who can turn up for training. Some do have legit reasons why they can't train on certain days but I like to know that people have trained on opposition maps (and of course our own) before plunging them into a match, even a friendly one. I may jump in a map myself but never guaranteed. That would be too easy for you to rack up the kills, lol.

I hope you can get at least 4 people available. If you get more, then at least players can have a break if needed. We could still do 3v3 if you only get 4 players and some might need a break. We will see how people feel on the night.

Possibly available:

Keefy (dependant on his phone line. Having problems recently)
Jingly One
Spintronics
Photomanic
Me (dependant on others)

Not sure who else can make it yet

What's your Steam name. I can add you as a friend and send you the server details and password on the night. Mine is tonester666

That's not a problem. Out team list might change as well, depending on how stable some connections are and stuff like that, but for now, I'm hoping I can stick to the list I gave you and maybe get a 4th guy on the team as well.

I tried adding you on steam, but for some reason steam didn't let me add you. Could be my connection acting up again, I'm not sure... anyhow, just do a search for "sun dominion" and you'll find one guy. That's me.

Hi mate

Have you on Steam (as you obviously know, lol) so will be in touch tonight before the match. My players will be in from 7pm for last minute practice and will open the doors to yourselves by sending you the password from about 7:30.

Looking forward to seeing you all later.
